Open Gym Venues and Times

FVA hosts different venues across Fairbanks from October through April.  

FVA Membership is required to play.  membership is only $10 and will be available shortly.  **Additional online fee is required.**

Ryan Middle School Open Gym

WHEN:  each Friday night from 6-9 pm

(Come at any time) 

Cost:  $5 per player per night 

Season pass:  $100 & includes $10 membership fee 

Level of Play:  Recreational B and C Level

Number of Courts AVailable:  2 courts set up with men's net and 1 court with women's net

Maka' Ala Volleyball

*Maka' Ala Volleyball in Fairbanks has a long-standing tradition of competive play and isn't for the beginner or recreational player.  Many of the players are collegiate-level athletes and you have to know the differences, defensive positioning, and offensive rotations for a 5-1 or 6-2 offense before you step on the court.  The hitting is hard.  in order to maintain player safety (yours and others), players that do not demonstrate a competitive b-level of play may be asked to leave the court.

Cost:  $5 per player per night

Season Pass:  $125 per Maka' Ala season

Level of Play*:  Competitive B Level

Number of Courts AVailable:  1 court @ men's net

Tanana Maka' Ala Open Gym

WHEN:  each Friday night from 6-9 pm (Old Gym)

Cost:  $5 per player per night

Season Pass:  $125 per Maka' Ala season
